Prabal Gurung's Minimal Beauty Look Is Ideal For Après-Ski

Though the Prabal Gurung show was eventful, thanks to a streaker who crashed the catwalk, we were still busy eyeing the sleek hair and minimal makeup — which is perfect for hanging out at a ski lodge or for attending a big meeting with the boss lady.

Hair was helmed by Paul Hanlon for Chi, but we got the scoop from one of the celebrity hairstylists working the show, Matt Fugate. He told us that hair was blown straight using Chi products with a superclean center part. Once smooth, they looped the locks into buns and sprayed them with hairspray. They let the buns dry for about 30 seconds and then took out the buns so that the hair had just a slight movement. Finally, they looped a black hair tie around the middle of the ponytail, doing three loops to be consistent. "The look was a superclean ponytail that we wanted to look polished and strong, avoiding the teenage feel," Fugate told us.

As for the makeup, Diane Kendal went for a mountain-fresh feel with dewy skin, flushed cheeks, and filled-in eyebrows. Jin Soon Choi for Sally Hansen kept nails simple, as well, with light polish.
