16 Headaches Only Girls With Bangs Will Understand

As if girls didn't have enough hair problems, for some reason many of us decided to pile on extra frustration by cutting bangs. The thing about bangs, though, is that when they behave, they can change your whole look. Poof! Now you're Audrey Hepburn. Bam! Did someone ask if Zooey Deschanel has a twin? Bangs are like a great statement bag, except they're free and will go with any outfit. And therein lies the temptation to decorate our foreheads.

However, when bangs go awry, which they oft do, they can drive you nearly homicidal — or at least itching to buzz your whole head. Don't even get us started on growing them out — that might just explain why we keep cutting them, just so we can avoid having to go through that awkward, seemingly infinite in-between phase. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Take a look at the many problems us fringe-lovers deal with daily.

They're Always in Your Eyes

Even though it feels like you just trimmed them yesterday.

They Never Seem to Do What You Want Them to Do

And you find yourself talking to them . . . a lot.

By the Afternoon, You Have to Refluff Them, and Often

Or else they get all piecey and start to look like grass plastered onto your head.

Wind-Swept Takes On a Whole New Meaning

Even the slightest breeze can make them clump together and resemble a hair sculpture-bird's nest hybrid.
