Reem Acra made the case for high-fashion ponytails at her Fall 2014 show. "It's about the return to an elegant woman," lead hairstylist Didier Malige for Rene Furterer said. "So we're calling this style the couture ponytail." Malige worked the front of the hair into a pompadour, which was accented with Rene Furterer Vegetal Sculpting Gel ($23). He then pulled the hair into a low ponytail, and then applied the brand's Thermal Protecting Smoothing Spray ($30) before straightening.
Makeup was equally chic, focusing on a simple brown smoky eye. Lead makeup artist Pat McGrath lined the eyes with CoverGirl Ink It! Perfect Plus Eye Liner ($7), while keeping the rest of the makeup look fairly simple. Nude lips, light contour, and that was it. Finally, a couture look we can afford.
