There was no shortage of dramatic hair backstage at Reem Acra's Spring 2014 show, where the look was straight out of Saturday Night Fever. "Reem wanted something dramatic to go with the clothes," Didier Malige, lead stylist for René Furterer, said. The unique curls were created by wrapping sections of hair around a straight pin and then flat-ironing each section. The corkscrews were then brushed out and fluffed, creating a cotton-candy confection of a style.
Makeup focused on dewy rose golds and shimmering metallics, while the nails, by OPI, were swathed in You Callin' Me a Lyre, a metallic, neutral pink from the NYC Ballet collection. And since the show was held at Lincoln Center, this was more than appropriate.
