Review of Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer For All Skin Types With SPF 15

Reader Review of the Day: Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer

Cetaphil cleanser is one of those gold standard drugstore products, but I hadn't heard very much about the rest of the brand's line until I saw this review of Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer For All Skin Types With SPF 15 ($11) by reader ajkenyon. Here's what she has to say:

"I love Cetaphil cleanser so much, and I figured the moisturizer must be just as good, right? Well, wrong, unfortunately. I love the SPF, and it does make my skin very soft. But it just doesn't absorb well, and it leaves my face looking shiny and blotchy. I'll definitely keep using the cleanser, but I'm going back to Lush for my moisturizer!"

i love this moisturizer too, i've been using it daily for a year and a half which says a lot since i tend to get very bored with products and have about 20 other moisturizers on my shelf, the majority of which are two, three or four times more expensive than the Cetaphil

I use this daily and love it. Once I switched to the Cetaphil cleanser I switched to using the moisturizer also. It obviously won't work for everyone but I find it a nice light and basic moisturizer. No frills or bogus claims for youth, it just does the job. I have rosacea that is under control but it is still important to keep using products that are non-irritating and moisturizing and I feel that this does the trick. I am not as fond, however of the Cetaphil UVA/UVB SPF50 Facial Moisturizer (too thick/'greasy' feeling) or the DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrationg Moisturizer (also a bit too thick/'greasy' feeling). When need takes over, I still use them both -the high SPF stuff when I'm out in the sun all day or the Ultra Hydrating Moisturizer when my face is particularly dry.
