Review of Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser

Reader Review: Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser

Here's a review of Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser ($6) from reader Sukhisukhi:

I have sensitive, combination skin. I heard a lot of good things about Neutrogena, and decided to try this face wash based on recommendations. Unfortunately, this face wash didn't work as well for me as other people. I felt like it left residue on my skin without really taking any dirt away. It's been so bad for me that I've begun breaking out all over my face, and no matter how little makeup I wear, or how often I wash my face, the acne wasn't going away. I've since switched over to Clinique, and within a day of using the Clinique cleanser, my breakouts are starting to fade.

Wow! I think that has happened 2 me too! I use clean and clear and it works great for me! I've also used St.Ives and that is amazing too! But i'll try Clinique sometime! My sister uses it and it really works for her! =)

I have very oily and acne prone skin. I was recommended this acne wash cream cleanser by after analyzing my skin type and it worked well for me.

oh my lanta! That is such sad news! This is the BEST thing in the world for me! One time I stopped using this and switched cleansers and the result was horrible, regular pimples and white head zits on my nose (I never get whitehead zits on my nose, ever!) When I switched back to Neutrogena all the zits went away and I stopped having breakouts, This thing is a LIFESAVER! I love it, I love it, I love it!!! I think this illustrates my feelings toward it very well :) lol

yeah cream cleansers never feel like they get my skin 'clean'. You know? That residue-y feeling just makes me feel scummy. I personally like a foaming cleanser.

i used to be a neutrogena fan too... but when my acne got really bad, i switched to proactive. neither worked. then i switched to cetaphil and that was okay, but didn't really do much to my acne. lately, i've been using clean and clear, the simple 5-ingredient face cleanser without any acne meds and it's actually working much better. i'm not totally clear, but it's a hazard of working at in n out. ^ ^'

I've never been able to use Neutrogena products because of this happening to me. No matter what.....they just don't work.

I'm sorry to hear that happened to you! I've been using this for awhile and I really like it. I dont use it everyday, but I use it a few times a week since it has salicylic acid in it.
