Review of Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser

Reader Review of the Day: Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser

Philosophy's Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser ($32) is marketed as a deep pore cleanser, makeup remover, and toner. Whew, that means there should be high expectations on a product like this, right? So when reader Leafgirl said it was "the best," I wanted to hear more. This is what she had to say:

"My sister is a spa and salon buyer for a high end resort so we have tried lots of cleansers. This is by far the best, and I don't mean just in this price range. [It] cuts through any and all makeup without leaving your skin dry and tight. Cetaphil leaves my skin feeling over moisturized [and] other cleansers make me red, dry, and blotchy. Purity cleans and soothes — love it. I think my husband has been using it when I'm not looking."

eatingcookies, it might seem expensive, but it truly lasts forever! I have the giant 32oz bottle in my shower, it's lasted me almost two years, no joke! And that's with me and my husband using it! You only need a dime sized amount. Go by a philosophy counter, ask for a sample, you'll see that it's totally worth it.

My fave! Takes everything off, doesn't burn your eyes, not too drying but definitely clean feeling skin. If you just wash your face with this and do nothing else, your skin tone is even, that's what really sold me!

This cleanser saved my skin -- I started using philosophy's starter kit (Makeup Optional Skin) back in October and I am transformed. This works great with the Hope in a Jar moisturizer (at night) and the anti-aging When Hope is Not Enough During (for day). QVC.com has a lot of great philosophy deals and often offer philosophy Today's Special Values.

I absolutely love this cleanser as well! I have heard of people not liking the smell, but it does not bother me. Trust me, it is well worth the price. I have had the same bottle for about 3 months now and it is only half gone (I use a dime sized amount, twice a day)

I LOVE this cleanser...with one caveat. The only makeup it doesn't break through is DiorShow's Blackout waterproof mascara. The only all-in-one that does that is DHC's Oil Cleanser. So I have both. :)

This is the BEST facial cleanser I have ever tried!! I have it in all sizes, and I always take it with me when I travel. It removes waterproof makeup and literally 'melts' my makeup off my face if I let it sit for a while. Amazing!
