Review of Yes to Blueberries Intensive Skin Repair Serum

5 Reasons to Say Yes to Blueberries (Serum, That Is)

I'll be honest: I'm not a fan of eating blueberries. Yes, I'm aware of their amazing qualities and powerful antioxidants, but I just never cared for the taste. So consider my reluctance to try Yes To Blueberries Intensive Skin Repair Serum ($20). I was afraid the scent would instantly turn me off, but I was on the hunt for glowing skin, and that's exactly what I got. To find out how it worked, and why you might want to say yes to blueberries, just keep reading.

  • For the glow factor: Almost instantly after applying the serum, my skin glowed, and looked fresher and healthier. The product promises "even, glowing, superhero skin," and although it's a pretty far-out statement, it rang pretty true for me. It brightened my skin without making it oily, and after more than a week, my skin looks considerably more even.
  • To tighten up: The blueberries' free radical-fighting and tightening qualities are unparalleled. I wouldn't say that my skin was sagging to begin with, but my face and neck definitely look and feel smoother.
  • For the subtle scent: If you're like me, and don't care for the scent of blueberries, you'll be happy to know that the Intensive Repair Serum has a very light, subtle scent. This may be attributed to the fact that the formula also includes organic cotton thistle, apple, and blackcurrant.
  • A little goes a long way: Since the product is so highly concentrated, you won't need more than a pea-sized amount to cover your face and neck, which ensures that you'll get more bang for your buck.
  • It's mad with natural ingredients: The best thing about using the Intensive Repair Serum is knowing that it's made with natural and organic ingredients, and free of parabens.

I saw this at Target the other day, but I hadn't heard anything about it at the time. I think I'll test it. I tried the Boots serum for weeks and it broke me out. I don't even have acne prone skin, so hopefully this isn't full of silicones.
