In addition to its brilliant celebrity collaborations [1], MAC Cosmetics is known for its incredible artistry [2] and trendsetting looks — both of which are frequently spotted on the New York Fashion Week runways [3]. We were lucky enough to team up with the brand's director of makeup artistry, Romero Jennings, on Feb. 16, when he took over the POPSUGAR Beauty Instagram account [4].

He's one of the leading innovators behind those fabulous, fashionable faces on the catwalk, and this season was especially exceptional: Jennings took us behind the scenes (with videos, too!) of the Carmen Marc Valvo show, where he whipped up an elegant-yet-edgy smoky cat eye.
