This is going too far- I mean, sure, which little girl doesn’t love to play dress up? There is a fine line between dress up and messed up though! It seems everyone is taking things too far- false lashes, extensions, highlights, skin care?! From 4 yrs old?! Somehow, it doesn’t seem quite right- little kids are being robbed of their childhood, mummies don’t mind and martini glasses are shared all round. Give it another year and those kids will probably have eating disorders and spoilt brat syndrome.

All little girls love to play dress up, but this is a bit too far... so sad.

OK, so I started painting my own fingers and toes at a very young age and yes, I wore lip gloss too. But exactly what are they serving to those 5 year-olds out of martini glasses? Whoa!

Yikes, I had no idea that's how far it's gotten. But, I do have to say that that birthday party sure beats McDonald's :)

Ick. I'm so glad this wasn't around when I was a kid.

I saw this on Jezebel earlier today, and it was just as disgusting then as it is now. Those little girls are really adorable, but slathering them with all that stuff and putting wigs on them and trying to make them into Hannah Montana... it's really sad. If they were choosing to do it at home, themselves, just playing around, the results would be laughable, but it would be cute. I mean, I played with makeup as a kid, but this... is beyond the pale. The fact that they're being treated like (and encouraged to think of themselves as) adult women - and charged the same price!!! - is really proof that companies are deliberately exploiting these already-ingrained body-image issues (and perpetuating them) as early as possible, just to get a fatter number on their bottom lines. These kids are going to be screwed up in a MAJOR way, I'm afraid.
