At Theyskens' Theory's Spring 2014 Show, lead hairstylist Odile Gilbert for Kérastase was using so much product in the hair that PR girls were racing out the door to collect more! "I'm telling the stylists not to be afraid of the product," she said. "I want the hair to look wet." And we'd say she achieved that end. Models' hair reflected the slicked wet look we've been seeing more and more on the runways. To keep it in line with the natural curve of the girls' hair, Gilbert tied string at the nape of their necks, cutting it just before they stepped on the runway.
As for the makeup, James Kaliardos, lead artist for MAC Cosmetics, wanted each look to be slightly individual. "We're doing a shiny pink cream on the eyes and the cheek, and then a copper color on the crease of the eye," he said. Brows were defined and brushed up. "It looks a bit like a Victorian doll." Nails by Essie were painted in Allure ($8) for a nude look and finished with a glossy top coat.
