Trendy New Port Wine Lipstick Shades For Fall 2010

Trend Alert: Port Wine Lipstick

Red lips were even more in vogue than usual this season, and the trend isn't going away so much as morphing. Over the past few days, lots of lovely ladies have been spotted wearing a port-wine-hued lipstick, a deeper, purplish version of red. Drew Barrymore donned a bold Pre-Raphaelite look at the London premiere of Going the Distance, Lea Michele opted for a sheer take on the color at a Glee party earlier this week (get the exact brand here), and last night at the NFL season kickoff, Taylor Swift got in on the action sporting this glossy version. It's an easy-to-wear color with a lot of impact, but will you be wearing it when cooler weather rolls in?

Lea and Swift would both look better if they had Drew's color on their lips I think...

I have to disagree. I think this color looks best on fair and light skintones. It not as bold on someone with tan skin, so it's not such a statement lip. I've been wearing this shade for a few weeks now. I didn't want a red yet, but I think everyone is ready for Autumn and more make-up options than the warmer weather months.

Ya dark lipstick just isn't my thing. I can do the heavy eye make up but can never do a bold lip. I just feel it looks costume-y on me.

Love the colour in itself but I think it only really, really looks good on Lea Michele and her skintone. I've a slightly more purple version (Stila's Natalie) and while I absolutely love it, I've very rarely been able to pull it off...
