Stereotypical Valentine's Day makeup is all about bombshell sex appeal, always with the same combinations of red and black. This year, try something fresh with romantic pastels instead. Celebrity makeup artist Desirae Cherman shows us how to use soft, shimmery pastels for date-night eyes, flushed cheeks, and glossy lips. It's a look sweeter than conversation hearts and pretty enough for any Valentine's celebration.
Hi, I'm Desiree. Today we're going to show you how to get a romantic look for Valentine's Day using pastels. What we're going to do first is go ahead and sweep a beautiful pastel color all along your lid. When choosing a color, go ahead and choose something that works for your skin tone and your hair color, but think along the lines of maybe beautiful lavender, a silvery blue, a light green, or even a beautiful peach. Taking neutral highlighting color and highlight the brow bone. Go in and give your lashes a really good curl. Follow it up with 2 coats of mascara. Go ahead and coat the top and bottom lashes. To get a dewy look, it's important to use a sheer, light foundation, you don't want anything too heavy. You only need to even out the skin tone. I like using a foundation brush to evenly spread out the color, but you can also go ahead and just take a little bit on the tips of your finger and rub right in. Take a concealer color just one shade lighter, to cover up any little bit of darkness that may be underneath the eyes. We're gonna go in with a nice cream blush and choosing a beautiful pink shade to compliment the pastels that are on her eyes. Cream will keep it looking natural and dewy and also very easily blendable. Apply the cream blush to the apples of your cheeks and use your finger to blend and feather out. No romantic dewy look is complete without highlights. Today I'm going to use a powdered highlighter to get right onto the cheekbone the brow bone, inner corners of the eyes and the cupids bow. Go ahead and finish the look by applying your favorite pink lip gloss. Apply it just to the bottom lip, in the center, and rub together. And that's how to get a gorgeous look for Valentine's Day using pretty pastel colors. Thank you for watching BellaSugar TV.
