Warming Skin Care Products

Wonderful Ways to Warm Winter Skin

Take a break from the cold and indulge yourself with a warm and wonderful at-home spa treatment. Both of these products contain ingredients that self heat when applied to the skin to help draw out impurities and detoxify. Not only do they feel divine when there's a chill in the air, but they also smell delicious.

My interest in warming treatments began when I tried the Retexturizing Thermal Exfoliator from Cornelia and ever since then, I've been hooked on thermal products. So go on and pamper yourself — baby, it's cold outside!

L'Occitane En Provence Grape Warming Body Wrap ($30) is a moist pink and white mud mask that helps absorb excess toxins in the body. The result is unclogged pores, soft skin, and overall improved in skin tone.

Upon contact, the mud heats up and stimulates circulation, which also helps promote cellular metabolism as well as relaxation — doesn't this sound fab!

For another wonderful, Winter warming product,

Lancôme Pure Focus Masque ($28) is a self-heating face mask made with marine extract, salicylic acid, and zinc glutonate to help control oil and shine, deep clean, and prevent new breakouts.

It will also tighten and refine your pores as well as soften your skin and create an overall matte finish.

If you're looking for something to warm your skin up in the shower, I'd recommend the Dulces en Fuego sugar scrub from Villainess. The scent is great, it really heats up on contact with your skin, and the price ($10!) is pretty darn good. http://www.villainess.net/product.php?productid=73&cat=1&page=1

Origins also makes a self-heating mask that's pretty nice, and I think it's a little cheaper (around $18)...it also smells really warm and yummy in the wintertime.

The L'occitaine one looks like a good beauty splurge. I'd like to try it.

I've never tried a thermal heating product, but I'd really like one for the body, especially in winter (and before Valentines day!). Any other recommended body products besides the L'occitaine one?

Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser is just $7 and I bet has nearly identical ingredients to the Lancome option! I like it and one bottle lasts a long time. Warming is just a gimmick though (in all these products). I prefer the Biore scrub!

oh and ladies, I don't know about cheaper options but anything L'Occitane is worth its price! I have loved every single product from them that I have splurged on. Go ahead, splurge on yourself! You deserve it!
