So you've successfully made it to the gym a few days in a row (we're proud!), allowing you to check off boxes on your New Year's resolution list. However, as a product-loving beauty girl, you may not want to have to make this decision: makeup or the gym? Working out with your war paint on could cause breakouts, let alone that the colors and formulas will easy smudge when mixed with sweat. To help you waterproof your favorites and choose ones that will complement your gym time, we consulted with Bobbi Brown makeup artist Kim Soane.

Bobbi Brown makeup is known for being long-wear and natural-looking so we knew Kim was the perfect expert to create the makeup looks below on fitness bloggers Chase Lindsay Rosen of Athleisurely and Evann Clingan of her eponymous site. Hair was styled by Sarah Potempa, and the photos were photographed at the iconic Chelsea Piers.

Foundation: "You don't need moisturizer underneath [your foundation] if you're going to the gym," she said. "Just wear a little bit of tinted moisturizer if you want to keep the pink out of your skin."

Also, you can just use foundation where you need coverage if you don't want it all over your face. "You can apply it just in spots around the nose and on the chin," she said. "It's great to have portable on-the-go before or after working out, and for touch-ups throughout the day."

Try: Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 ($46). The multitasking formula offers a sheer tint while nourishing skin with jojoba oil.

Brows: If you do nothing else to your eyes, at least brush and fill in your brows. It will make you look more polished since your arches are like the curtains to your face.

Try: Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow Pencil ($42). This slanted pencil promises 16-hour wear thanks to a water-resistant wax formula. The spoolie brush will fix any hairs that went out of place during your workout.

Eyeliner: First and foremost, if you're obsessed with liner, make sure it's long-lasting. That said, Soane has a hack for those who want to look like they have eyeliner on without applying it, and it's especially good for blondes and redheads.

"If you have really fair lashes, you want to make sure that your mascara looks like it's a full extension of your lash line," she explained. "A lot of times when you're fair, you need to put a little liner underneath, and that way, it looks full but natural. It's a good way to wear liner when you're at the gym, too. It's called tightlining."

Try: Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner ($25). This product is a cult favorite for a reason — it truly offers 12 hours of sweat and humidity-resistant coverage.

Eye Shadow: While you're certainly not going to show up for a cardio sculpt class with electric-blue eye shadow, you may want to give your lids a natural-looking boost. Pick shades in a neutral family, and try this tip to make your product last long.

"A trick we do backstage is always start with a base that is a nude tone and apply that all over," Soane said. "Apply it from lash to brow to create a smooth base, then you can put the color on top. Use your finger because you can feel the product against your skin and you know you're going to get the sheerest amount of product."

Try: Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Vanilla ($29). This long-lasting formula in a bright nude is the perfect primer for your base.

Waterproof Mascara: We admit it's difficult to ditch defining your lashes, so pick a long-wear one if you're going to dress up your flutter. "Use waterproof mascara if you're worried about getting the raccoon effect when you're sweating," she advised. "Layering is the way to go with mascara. There are mascaras out there that say they do everything, but most mascaras are maximum volume and length or lengthening and curl."

Try: Bobbi Brown No Smudge Mascara ($28). This nubby wand will help you achieve the layering technique suggested by Soane.

Lip: Put the red lip crayon down, and back away slowly. "When you wear a nude lip color, make sure it's not a color that washes you out," warned Soane. "It should be a shade that matches the color of your lip, and it enhances your natural lip color. So that's a great color to wear when you're working out especially in neon [workout clothes]."

Try: Bobbi Brown Lip Balm ($22). A hydrating balm like this will nourish your pout with avocado, olive oil, and beeswax to bring out your natural pigment.

Highlighter: While you probably shouldn't put shimmery powder on before your sweat session since it could streak, it can be your best friend postgym. "[Dust it] on cheeks and decolletage," suggested Soane. "Not to say you're going to do that before your Spin class, but you might do it post. You'll have that natural glow."

Try: Bobbi Brown Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick ($46)
