Wow diva! I'm pretty sure if that happened to me, I would never talk to her again either! "Aint nobody out there swift like this."

My wedding was amazing, but the worst thing that happened was that my maid of honor did not show up! She gave some lame excuses, but she is still as ass. She and I have not spoken since that day. The good thing is that all my bestest-est-est friends were there and we did not miss the pig at all! In fact, I realized the only person who could have ruined the wedding without showing up was the groom. When my husband and I renew our vows, we are doing what I wanted to do in the first place: Vegas, baby! Now, one of my closest friends is getting married, and I would like some ideas for small bachelorette parties that do not involve strippers. Any ideas?

I have to say that my wedding day went really well on the surface. The little things that went wrong, I'm sure no one but me noticed. My BIG mistake was in hiring the sister-in-law of a friend to take pictures for a nominal fee. The woman was a Wal-mart photographer, not a wedding photographer. Seriously. She worked at Wal-mart. People, if you're going to skimp on anything, don't make it your photographer. Those pictures are going to be what you show your children and grandchildren in the years to come. You don't want blurry or green-tinted photos. Trust me, I speak from experience. Horrible, painful experience. I'm crying as I type this.

My biggest nightmare when planning my wedding was dealing with my mother. Normally, my mother and I get along great. But when the planning got underway, she turned into this total MOM-zilla! Every other sentence was "It's MY money" and the other sentences were "You sure you want to eat that?" and "According to Emily Post..." Everything was a battle: I wanted a beach wedding, she said only church weddings are real weddings. I wanted it in the evening, her friends couldn't stay out that late. I wanted to rent a car like a Bentley or Rolls to drive to the reception; only a limo would do for her. It didn't matter what I wanted; after all, it was her money, her friends, When we went to go dress hunting, I made the mistake of inviting all my bridesmaids and my mother. In addition to the varied opinions of my 5 girlfriends, my mother showed out at the store. She hated every dress I loved. They were all too plain and she even suggested I get an ivory dress because "it would be a lie before God to wear white" (that's a quote). So the dress I ended up getting was via ultimatum, "You'll wear the dress I like or I won't pay for your wedding!" It was so infuriating! She said they could only pay for 200 guests, so my fiance and I split them 100 each. I had a list of 150 friends to pare down, then my mom comes with a list of 300(!) of her friends, co-workers, sorority sisters, auxiliary club members, her hair stylist, dry cleaners... basically anyone who ever met me, even the ladies I hadn't seen since I began walking. She actually said to me once, "If my friends can't be there, then what's the point of having a wedding?" The wedding didn't happen for other reasons, but I vowed that if I ever get married, I'm going to write the check so I can dictate exactly what I want. -the ceeg

I'm having a destination wedding. In January, my 5-star restaurant went out of business, never contacted me, and then promptly turned into a Dirty Dick's Crab Shack. I'm getting married in May, so I had time to change my plans, but it was a nightmare!

I remember my one of mt biggest horrors was that less then week before the wedding I found out that the reception location did not have pink cloth napkins for dinner! Luckily my mother and father found a place that we could rent them and they were overnighted and made it there on time. Now looking back on it = that was a little obsessive on my part. LOL The day goes so quick and I am pretty sure my parents, husband and I were the only people who noticed (or will remember) that there were pick cloth napkins anyway! LOL I will remeber how great a time I had and how awesome it is to be married to the love of my life!

My wedding was three years ago and I still remember how much trouble the arrangement took because I did all by myself. Next time, I hire a professional, I'll NEVER organise my own wedding again!
