What's Your Preferred Type of Facial Cleanser?

What's Your Preferred Type of Facial Cleanser?

With so many cleansers on the market, it can be difficult to decide what to use on a daily basis. I like a gentle cleansing milk on my sensitive skin in the mornings, and in the evenings I switch between a hydrating cleansing balm and a gel cleanser. It seems like a lot of products, but because of my occupation, I'm lucky enough to have these options at my disposal. If you could only use one type of cleanser, what would it be?

Dove soap! I've been using it since my dermatologist recommended it to me when I was in middle school (I'm now a few years out of college). I've tried other cleaners, but I always end up going back to Dove. Nothing works as well!

It mostly depends on whether or not I'm worried about removing traces of makeup from my face or not.

I've had the best result using baby bath and baby shampoo on my face. A big pump bottle on the sink. We use it for everything!

I usually only use a hot wet washcloth on my face twice a day. Then I apply Lubriderm cocoa and shea butter lotion. It doesn't say to use it on your face, but it is hypoallergenic and noncomedogenic... it really does wonders for my skin, which is prone to breakouts. I even tried Proactiv and that just made my skin worse. This has pretty much done the trick for me but I do get the occasional blemish so I'm still looking for a good treatment for that...

I like any kind that claims to remove makeup at the same time. Simplicity is key.

Biotherm cleansing tonic for sensitive skin (the pink bottle). Twenty dollars a bottle, but it's fantastic for my skin.

Definitely a cream cleanser for me, as I have dry combination skin. I used to use Cetaphil, but now I would rather use something organic or all natural. I am pretty obsessed with Burt's Bees Soap Bark & Camomile cream cleanser...it is AMAZING. By far the best cleanser I've ever tried. It has that slighty tingly feeling (like Noxema) that makes your skin feel super-clean and refreshed. Try it!

I have oily skin, so foaming cleansers make my face feel really clean and fresh. Neutrogena has a really good one.

Cetaphil with a dash of baking soda. Gently cleaning with light scrubbing. I use Retin-A, so I need the light exfoliation.

I usually use Cetaphil cleanser morning and night, and every 2 nights I use a scrub. I've been using this regimen for more than 6 months now and my teenage skin is the best its ever been.

I use Weleda Iris Cleansing milk - it is for all skin types and marvellous if coming back fm a very smoky place (for ex a disco) - when having used it - it is as if your skin is alive again...
