Would You Tell Someone if She Had Makeup on Her Teeth?

Telling someone that they have lipstick on their teeth is similar to telling them they have food caught in their teeth. It's embarrassing to point out, but if it happened to you, wouldn't you hope that someone would speak up and spare you the humiliation of figuring it out on your own later? If you spotted someone with lipstick on her teeth, would you talk to her about it?

I always tell, but I try to do it in a discrete way.

Heck no! For me, the embarassing part IS the random people who ,even though they don't know me, feel compelled to point out what's wrong with my appearance.

It would depend on the person, but most likely I would tell the person about the make up mishap.

The only person I have ever told was my mother. Most of my friends don't wear that much makeup especially lipstick..we're more of a lip gloss bunch.

I used to do this all the time- because I would want someone to do the same for me- until I told a friend she had a small pimple on her chin (I was going to offer some concealer, or some tissue to pop it with) and she was SO ANGRY WITH ME, I almost got punched in the face!

Absolutely, I think that it shows what sort of charactor a person has. I think people who let you walk around with something in/on your teeth are shady...Sorry, but true

I try to discreetly point it out. Whether its food, makeup or anything.

I find it embarrassing to tell people but I always want to. I'm really working on it because I'd definitely want someone to tell me. I've seen women flip out on other people when they tell them and it's not pretty. This weekend I saw a woman who had a button open on her shirt but I didn't say anything and I'm pretty sure she noticed right after that anyway.

I live by the rule of "If I would want someone to tell me, I say something". Yes, I might think twice about saying something to a stranger, but you know what, a subtle tap on the arm and a quiet "You've got lipstick on your teeth" isn't calling them out in public, and they can go correct the situation. Goodness knows I would want to know! And I actually, very discreetly and quietly, told one of my professors today, about thirty seconds before class was going to start, that she had something between her teeth. She thanked me after class!

If it was someone I knew, yes...but I probably wouldn't just walk up to a stranger and tell them.

There was a moment last night when I thought Hillary Clinton had red lipstick on her teeth during her big speech at the DNC- all I could think was I HOPE someone is in her ear telling her to lick her teeth! There's really nothing worse... :)

Yes! I would definitely tell someone! One time I put on lip gloss before meeting a friend who I had really big crush on. I was with my mom when I put the damn gloss on and I smiled at her before I got out of the car and she didn't say a word! When I got over to him and he laughed and said, "You got lipgloss on your teeth." I was so embarrassed and super pissed at my mother. I wouldn't let that happen to anyone else.
