Steps

  1. Bring the distilled water to a boil. Put the dried lavender leaves in a small bowl, and pour the water over the lavender to let it steep. This is the best way to bring out the good stuff in the lavender! Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Remove the lavender buds with a spoon or strain it with a sieve. Pour the lavender water into a small sealed container. I simply used an old foundation bottle, which, by the way, was so incredibly difficult to get clean of the oil in the foundation that I am now reconsidering wearing that stuff (yuck!). Seriously, it took me longer to clean that bottle than to make this facial cleanser, but that's beside the point. Moving on!
