At first I avoided Melissa's projects because I felt like she was allowing her weight to be the focus of all her roles and there aren't many women who have a thick enough skin to handle all the taunting. But I watched a few episodes of Mike and Molly and she's very funny. She addresses the weight issue and moves on. I wondered how it would make women her size feel. (I'm related to some big women) I mean if Hollywood is going to play up to other social issues like homosexuality then obesity shouldn't be swept under the rug either. Not that I'm into promoting obesity because I'm absolutely not. But she is actually funny so I enjoyed watching because of that.
