Hey there, I'm Karli Bulnes. The 2012 Critics Choice Awards nominees are out and we're breaking out the year's standout nominees in PopSugar Rush! Major Player Mr. Pitt Brad Pitt is a major player, with both Moneyball and Tree of Life being nominated for Best Picture. Plus, Brad himself is up for Best Actor. He's pitted against fellow Hollywood heavyweights such as George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Ryan Gosling so the category is sure to be a fun one to watch. The Bridesmaids Break Out Bridesmaids is joined by other funny favorites such as Crazy, Stupid, Love, Horrible Bosses, and The Muppets in the Best Comedy category, but it's important to point out that the breakout comedy of the year also broke ground in other areas — Melissa McCarthy is up for Best Supporting Actress and the entire cast is being recognized as one of the Best Acting Ensembles of the year. Third: Hugo the Heavy Hitter VO: And finally, the Martin Scorsese directed family film Hugo is proving to be one of the most surprising standouts of the year. With 11 nominations to it name, Hugo leads the pack, followed by some award season shoo-ins such as The Help, which got 8 nods. Even more nominations are rolling in this week: the Screen Actors Guild nods will be announced tomorrow, followed by the Golden Globe nominees on Thursday.
