The cast of Broadway's Aladdin musical paid a touching tribute to Robin Williams before ending their show on Tuesday night. The actor, who tragically passed away this week, famously voiced the character of Genie in the 1992 Disney animated film, and it remains one of his most memorable roles to this day. James Monroe Iglehart is currently playing the role on stage and took some time to honor Robin by leading the cast and audience in a sweet rendition of "Friend Like Me." Before beginning the sing-along, James explains the momentous impact that the comedian had on him throughout his childhood with his TV characters, stand-up comedy shows, and of course, his role as Genie. "We lost one of the greatest entertainers of all time," he told the crowd, adding, "We want to give our hearts and our prayers and our thoughts to his family, because he's a husband and a father first, entertainer second." Watch the Aladdin cast's touching tribute above, and for a real treat, relive the original version of "Friend Like Me" by Robin Williams below.
