Angelina Jolie's back tattoos and icy stare scored the cover of Entertainment Weekly's Summer movie preview. Her upcoming action film, Salt, is one of the season's anticipated releases and in the issue she talked about impressing her kids with action scenes and how much she'd love to work on another movie with her partner, Brad Pitt. Here are highlights:
On changing genders of the lead in Salt: "I was simply looking for the best action script that was going around. . . Hopefully we’ve succeeded in making her more emotionally complex and physically meaner. We expect different things from men and from women, both emotionally and physical. For example, a man can have a character arc in which he discovers his heart at the end – that would never be a surprise for a woman."
On working with Brad again: "I love working with him. He’s my favorite actor to work with, and the only complicated thing is to find the right project."
On filming the action scenes: "I had just had two babies, and the push to be physically strong was very welcome at the time. The funny thing about having children is that now I am twice as motivated to do a cool stunt because my kids will like it."
