I applaud Angelina for her humanitarian work. It seems like the fast majority of rich and wealthy people don't even take the time to write a check (and when they do, it's more for the tax write off). I like to see celebrities set an example and show their face in places that might otherwise be forgotten. I was glad to know they were helping in New Orleans as well. BRAVO :) I just wish she took better care of herself!

These photos of her always make you stop smiling because they are sad. But then you smile thinking how glad you are that at least somebody is helping them.

Fashionstar, Your post (#331) gave me a good laugh. You condemn Condolezza Rice's character, yet your avatar is is a picture of a woman who had no scruples sleeping with men who were involved with other women! The bottom line is even your hero lives in a glass house.

I know what you were saying and I agree. George Bush doesn't care about black people, or white people, the soldiers fighting, or the Bible. I think he only cares about money, rich people, and how many more vacation days he can get on our dime. As I stated earlier he's the most stress free Pres, I've ever seen.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone earlier when I mentioned the bible belt states helped Bush get into office the second time. I didn't meand to sound harsh against the people. What I meant was that Bush and his administration use things such as God, quotes from the Bible, abortion, gay marriage, etc. to secure votes from good, god fearing families that are concerned about those issues. I think it's hypocrisy on his part, not on the people in those bible states. We all see what he really cares about and it sure ain't the bible.

I have not posted on POP in a while but have enjoyed reading these posts. In regards to someone call Jimmy Carter the worst president ever, I have a question. Do you really know a lot about Carter? Or do you just believe the Republican lies. Carter was determined to end our dependence on foreign oil. He placed solar panels on the white house. He encouraged conservation. After Regan was elected he had the solar panels removed from the white house. We have stayed reliant on foreign oil. Which has lead to the current Iraq war. http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/index.php?pid=7106

I've visited NO many times and it is one of favorite places. As soon as you enter the city, there is just more flavor in air. I was so upset when I saw what happened in that city. I was completely mortified. I kept watching the tv in complete disbelief that this was happening in the US. I just can't believe that 2 years later they still haven't been able to get things going in this city. US is just not the same without NO. Crochick, that's the whole point. She's trying to get attention for the refugees.

I'm so mad my stupid computer blanked out on me hours ago right when I was going to jump into the discussion. I blame Bush. I'm glad to see that this discussion didn't melt into frivolous Angelina Jolie debates and that we are respectful of each others politics even if we disagree. I'm just as fed up with the Democrats as a I am with the Republicans because I feel each have focused way too much on "social issues" instead of issues such as the economy, education, etc. And no one has a clear plan as to how to deal with Iraq and the fall out. And then there's NO and the infrastructure problems we've witnessed in Minneapolis. And the mortgage crisis and globalization. So many issues that just get ignored. I'm glad to see we are discussing these things here on a celeb blog.

Such a phony. Why was OK! magazine there if she was only there for humanitarian purposes. A lot of other celebs do charity/humanitarian work without being followed by a camera.
