she quit school at age 14 or 15...she's kinda flighty in all her interviews I've noticed..even one for Laura Croft I almost felt sorry for her because she couldn't get her point across that she was trying to make. --------------------------------------------------------------- Spitfire: Yes she quit school and took her GED BECAUSE she was being bullied in school. Same as now people made fun of her features and her thiness. If you are even human at all, you would realize that these things would have contributed to her emotional issues. Add to that, her father not being there. I know many of you would like to think that you are superior to her BUT she has never apologized for who she is. There is nothing wrong with that. You do not like her, fine but you do not need to debase her to feel good about yourself. Everyone knows that bullying is wrong but many of you do not realize that your behavior with Angelina is a form of bullying and ganging up on someone you see as different from you. If that was you kid, you would have lots to say to the bully WE DO NOT KNOW what happened between Brad and Jennifer. But as a married person myself, I will tell you, there are many reasons why people divorce. It is obviously convenient for people to blame another person for divorce because the truth is too hard to deal with. I do not subscribe to that train of thought, because people in a marriage generally know that there are problems, fixable ones and the ones that cannot be fixed. Jennifer knew the problems in her marriage and it was up to her to make an attempt to fix them, not have passive-agressively suggest a third party was involved. Breastfeeding: To make something clear, when you are thin to begin with, breastfeeding is very hard on you because you do not have the stores of fat that people who are not skinny do. When I had my son, I lost all the weight the day he was delivered. Then I started to breastfeed and my weight dropped dangerously low. At 5ft 2 in, I was weighing 90lbs. So believe me, it does happen.

Have you noticed that the breastfeeding mothers (Gwen Stefani, Marcia Cross) pop back into shape a lot quicker than the bottle-feeding mothers ? Her kid is a year old. Breast feeding removes ~500 calories a day. Assuming that she was eating what she did before pregnancy (instead of more) and by math figures alone, she would have lost over 50 lbs. You're supposed to eat more and the food is supposed to be high quality and nutritious. I hope I'll have the opportunity to breast feed for about a year or so, but it's a job in itself. I understand that some women can't breast feed and really, they shouldn't be made to feel bad for clogged milk ducts or not producing enough milk. There are also women who can't due to disease or medications. Last but not least, it's hard to establish a steady milk supply in the first 8-12 weeks after which many women have to go back to work. Most workplaces don't have daycares on site.

Nothing wrong with a having a dozen kids if that's what they want. Brad and Angie can well afford to have more than that, About her weight loss, I totally understand. I just gave birth at the end of April, my 1st child, and I am smaller now than I was when I got pregnant. Looking after babies and little kids, and spending all of your time (Angie does when she's not working) can take the pounds off. I admire Angie and Brad for being fantastic parents.

They seem like nice people, but they're obviously overcompensating for something. Particularly Angelina, with all that talk of wanting a dozen kids or something. It's almost like someone who never got to eat candy as a kid and is now pigging out on it.

Miamigal, Sorry, I thought I've read here many times where you said you just wanted her to shut up, but that could have been another poster. The document was not well received, but pretty standard. I know personally of celebs who have strict control over the flow and content of their interviews. Her "contract", "agreement" whatever is not unusual. Not liked by entertainment journalist because the meat of their business is not simply reporting events, but gossiping about celebs lives and they need celebs to give them material to do that. What I find interesting is that though USA Today and AP reportedly decided against signing the agreement, but they personally reported no outrage. The only outlet that did, and the outlet that happens to be the main source of the ABC story is Fox news. I find that really strange because if this was such an important breach of journalistic freedom, why not run the story? Especially since there are some (not me) who think it's "ironic" that this took place at an event in support of free speech. Fox quoted the head of Reporters Without Borders as saying they don't agree with Jolie banning Fox news, however, at the same time, Fox quoted USA Today as saying they refused to sign an the "contract", but according to other reports USA Today denied even having an interview lined up, and therefore had no need to deny said "contract". Finally, because this is already too long, I'm really saddened by how the issue of freedom of the press has been confused with this issue. Freedom of the press has to do with governments blocking the access of the public to information. Someone else actually explained it better on abcnews.com so I'll quote that poster: Freedom of the press is defined as, “the guarantee by a government of free public press for its citizens and their associations, extended to members of news gathering organizations, and their published reporting. It also extends to news gathering, and processes involved in obtaining information for public distribution”. That definition does not mean that Angelina Jolie, or anyone else for that matter, is required to grant interviews, cannot set controls on interview or has to answer a question just because a reporter has asked it. This article comes across as a juvenile temper tantrum by media advised that that they would be expected to respect boundaries. If the media representatives don’t like it, don’t cover the story. But don’t write an article misrepresenting “freedom of the press” to meet your own needs.

A contract is an agreement and I am getting a screaming headache from spreadsheets and analyzing a business contract now, so I'm not going to go look it up! :) Gotta run Cat. Nice pleasant chat with you.

I just think it was not a good thing to do at an event for Reporters without Borders. That's why this is not good on her.

ok for anyone else who wants to see it, here's the link: http://www.aolcdn.com/tmz_documents/0615_mighty_heart_press.pdf I don't think it's that bad, they go out of their way to say "agreement" over "contract" and just ask that they stick to the movie...I do however think threatening with a restraining order & saying they can only use it for good press is a bit severe...

Team Sugar, I just typed out a very thoughtful and respectful reply to Cat, and my comment got flagged. There wasn't any profanity in it. I guess it's fine to allow immature baiting and veiled insults to other members as is evident on this page.

Back, sorry, I didn't reply either. The copies are all over now, Cat. I heard the girls at lunch saying something about it on TMZ. You know, it's funny, but the comparison is dead on and I missed that. I don't hold AJ in the same realm as Paris, maybe that is why. It cracks me up though that Paris has a publicist to this day. If I was her, I would have said if hounded about her family, look, I've given interviews everywhere about them, lets make this about you guys and the Pearls. Boom, over, finito! She has no problem doing that, she did it to faggie Ryan. Miss Megs, I don't think AJ is near Nicole skinny, but she's getting there. But again, good point. I wonder if everyone gets lectured on Nicole threads how it isn't nice ripping on skinny people, it's like ripping on fat people crap. AJ used to be brassy and no holds bar. She USED to march to the tune of her own drum. But something changed and all this flip flopping snobby bullshit is not the person I used to admire. Part of me was blinded by the rebel attitude thing and lack of history. To me, she does stuff for attention and has major issues with connecting to people. She did it back then for shock value to piss people off and today, for other reasons. AGAIN, these are assumptions I made. When she did it to piss people off, I used to laugh at her. Now I think she is not being true and is basically full of shit. I would even assume that is why she is closer to the orphans she adopted. They were alone and she is basically a loner in the sea of people, and she relates to them. I could be wrong and so could her defenders. But one thing is for sure. This whole legal snafu is all over the place and she pissed off the wrong people if she is worried about her image...the media.

Okay, yeah. she does look better when she's built. like in tomb raider, but it's seriously aggrivating when people are harassed because of their weight. and for some reason, lately it's been okay to put down skinny people. some of the things people say about angelina losing weight or victoria beckham or whoever else are things that a lot of people wouldn't even dream of saying to a person who is overweight. also, angie was always skinny, and for someone who is that small, losing even a couple pounds looks dramatic.and yes, she does eat. i know this because my friend's dad was her personal chef her in nola.

AP covered the premiere and USA Today apparently wasn't scheduled for an interview in the first place. ABC is using FOX as their source so it's pretty much the same story, no?And yeah, I think she explains it quite great on Larry King Live (I think there will be a new thread for this):<strong>KING:</strong> An email question from Cory, Anaheim, California: "Why make a movie like 'A Mighty Heart' that extols the virtues of a free press, only to try to control press coverage on your own life?"<strong>JOLIE:</strong> Well, it's very different. I think when we talk about the idea of press; the only things I've ever tried to control are I've tried to have some privacy with my family. I don't think I would consider it blocking freedom of press to say, I don't want to say whether or not I'm pregnant right now. You know, I think that that's not necessarily, you know, important news that I'm blocking or important.

Just to clarify my previous statement.. on Larry King live Angie told Larry.. it took about a year for Pax's adoption and her mother named him as Pax was one of the names on the list for Shiloh's birth. Angelina is extremely outspoken..pretty much an open book.. I think she wanted to make sure the red carpet event and the interviews re A Mighty Heart would stay on topic and not end up being all about her, what she gave the kids for breakfasr, how many times she has held Shiloh and screwed Brad in the last week. :OY: She wanted it to be a respectful thing for Marianne/Adam and Daniel's memory.. esp since tabloids are out of control and spilling over into what should be considered serious press. The lines are blurring to the point that pretty soon only reporters in war zone will be true journalists. I would like to take her for her word and that she must have told her lawyer of her wish and he was over zealous in putting it together..I am sure she probably thought it would be like the one from the M&MS promo tour..which no one seemed to balk at. They have said that Fox was accidentally left off the press list..couldn't happen to a better news operation. And that it was an oversight that was quickly corrected. I think it is hilarious actually that they had to be reminded what the real story is and how to accurately do their jobs.. and whined like babies at the thought of not being able to ask personal questions. And remember this as well.. when Angie doesn't talk..she is a bitch and they write whatever crap they want to about her. When she does talk..it is too much information and she should shut up already and they have a field day chopping the sound bite to fit an agenda. When she actually says no comment or is standofish..she is an ice queen bitch. She cannot win with the press. So once again it is another reason to play bash Angie.

The thing is, Angelina has been pretty skinny for awhile now...if she was that concerned about how young, impressionable fans viewed her, why doesnt seek the help of a nutritionist or something?? If she recognizes the problem, why doesnt she do something about it instead of continuing to wither away into nothing?? She looks skinnier than Nicole Richie in these pictures, and Im not sure why everyone jumps all over Nicole and yet defends Angelina.

Miami, have they released a copy of the contract? I would like to see what all the fuss is about but can't find it anywhere. I agree with the that she must have known and had some dealing with this contract, she may have said "can we do...?" and the atty drew it up and distributed it, I don't think anyone thought it would be the huge deal that it became. I also (and it pains me to say it as an Angelina fan - a big one too)that him so vehemently taking the blame reminds me of Paris' publicist (?) taking the blame for not advising her she couldn't drive. I don't think any less of Angelina, but for someone as take charge as her I would be incredibly surprised that anyone on her payroll would do something without her blessing

Dianad, I read that she said called him overzealous. I don't for one minute believe that retraction when others present told different stories. She totally avoided the print press too which goes right along with the contract. I don't believe for a minute she didn't have anything to do with that and her lawyer acted solely on his own. And people from Paramount got involved when she didn't even want local FNC photogs. They eventually were allowed. Now Paramount is also taking the blame. I simply don't believe her lawyer acted without her knowledge. Lawyers do not just do stuff like that without being told to do so.
