Ashlee Simpson [2] and Evan Ross took to Twitter [3] on Monday to announce that they're engaged, and on Tuesday, they were spotted out and about on Maui, where Ashlee showed off her brand-new bling. The one-of-a-kind ring [4] comes from Neil Lane's vintage archival collection, and Evan worked with the jewelry designer to transform the original ring into a five-carat bauble with 140 white diamonds and small ruby accents.
Evan first share his excitement when he tweeted [5] a picture to confirm the news, saying, "The love of my life said YES!!!!!!" At the same time, Ashlee also shared the photo [6], saying, "My baby love and I are ENGAGED!!! Hallelujah Hawaii!!!!!" She and Evan, Diana Ross's son, were first linked in July when they were spotted grabbing lunch [7]. In November, it was a family affair when he joined Ashlee for Bronx's birthday party [8] in LA.
