Every Major Milestone in Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis's Relationship

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis went from playing teenage first loves Kelso and Jackie on "That '70s Show" to being married with two kids. But their path to finding love off screen wasn't exactly straightforward. In fact, Kutcher and Kunis's relationship timeline was full of twists early on — including Kutcher's marriage to Demi Moore and a brief period where they tried being friends with benefits.

While Kutcher and Kunis first met in 1998, the two didn't become romantically involved until they reconnected in 2012 after the former's split from Moore. However, he still managed to be the "Black Swan" actor's first kiss thanks to their time on "That '70s Show." In a 2001 interview with People, Kunis revealed that she had a crush on Kutcher when the show began, and their first onscreen kiss was her first kiss IRL (even though Kutcher had no idea at the time).

"I was like, 'Oh, he's so cute, it's the Calvin Klein model!'" Kunis said of meeting her now-husband. "Then I was like, 'I have to kiss him?' I was so nervous and uncomfortable. I had the biggest crush on him."

Kutcher later told the outlet he would have been extra nervous had he known he was his future wife's first-ever kiss. "I'm the first guy she kissed? Oh my god, I had no idea!" he said. "I'm so glad I didn't know that or it would've been too much pressure. I was so nervous. She acted so cool. She seemed as if she'd done it a thousand times. I was the one with the butterflies in my stomach. I mean, here's this little girl and I have to kiss her. It was nerve-racking."

Kunis and Kutcher have come a long way since then and are now one of Hollywood's most enduring couples. In 2012, they officially began dating, and they went on to welcome their first child, daughter Wyatt, in October 2014. They tied the knot a few months later in July 2015 and had their second child, a boy named Dimitri, in 2016. Since then, the two have settled into their roles as husband and wife while also keeping their careers going strong.

Both actors returned to their "That '70s Show" roles for cameo appearances in Netflix's 2023 reboot, "That '90s Show." Previously, Kunis earned a Golden Globes nomination for her role in 2010's "Black Swan" before going on to star in movies like "Bad Moms" and Netflix's thriller "The Luckiest Girl Alive." She's also voiced the character of Meg on "Family Guy" since 1999.

Kutcher has been busy as well. After wrapping up his role as Kelso, he went on to star in sitcoms like "Two and a Half Men" and "The Ranch." More recently, Kutcher has been focusing on his film career with notable roles in 2022's "Vengeance" and 2023's "Your Place or Mine" with costar Reese Witherspoon. Ahead of the movie's Netflix premiere in February, he and Witherspoon became the subject of a meme for their awkward red carpet photos, which even Kunis teased them about.

Kutcher and Kunis were cast in "That '70s Show" in 1998. At the time, Kutcher was 20, while Kunis was only 14 years old. The actor famously lied about her age to secure her role on the show. In a 2022 interview with Vanity Fair, she confirmed that the rumors about her concealing her young age from the producers early on were 100 percent true.

"There's a rumor going around that I may or may not have lied about my age," Kunis said. "I'd like to make it very clear now that I did lie. I did. However, by the time I went to what was then a producer's network call... you have to sign a contract before you get the job and in my contract I had to put an asterisk for 'studio teacher.' They were like, 'What do you mean?' And I was like, 'Oh P.S., I'm 14.' But at that point if you talk to the creators, they were like, 'We loved you at that point so what did we care?'"

In the same interview, she went on to credit her older costars with setting a good example for her and shared that they're the reason she didn't try drugs.

"I did a movie called 'Friends With Benefits,'" Kunis said on a 2018 episode of the "WTF With Marc Maron" podcast. "He did a movie that was very similar called 'No Strings Attached.' We lived our movies out. We were just like, let's just hook up. Let's have fun. We're both single. We both trust each other. Everything's great."

By April 2012, the two realized they were more than friends and promptly moved in together.

She loves the baby so much. It's like 'Of Mice and Men.' She's like, 'I love you and hold you and squeeze you and name you George.' I'm afraid she's like Lenny, like, 'You're going to squeeze the baby's head off, honey!'"

He continued, "She loves this baby — maybe more than me. It's, like, borderline."

In 2019, Kutcher dealt with a rare form of the autoimmune disease vasculitis. He opened up about the experience in the 2022 docuseries "The Checkup With Dr. David Agus," where he revealed that at one point, he couldn't walk due to hearing issues affecting his equilibrium and his vision was impaired. Dr. Agus noted in the series that it was beautiful to see how Kunis curled up beside her husband and offered him support throughout his recovery.

Kunis later told Entertainment Tonight how she and Kutcher dealt with him being so unwell. "I don't think you have time to sit down and talk, you kinda just power through," she said. "You go and deal with whatever health issue comes your way, but you still got kids, you still got a family, you have to live life. And I think that we are so fortunate to have one another, but as far as sitting there and incessantly talking about things, no. You gotta do."

January 2023: Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Appear on "That '90s Show"

In January 2023, Kutcher and Kunis reprised their roles of Kelso and Jackie for cameos on "That '90s Show." The reboot follows Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna's (Laura Prepon) daughter Leia's adventures in Point Place, WI. In the new series, it's revealed that Kelso and Jackie have married and divorced one another multiple times.

For her part, Kunis didn't think Jackie and Kelso should still be together. "My husband and I are together in [the new show], which is weird because we shouldn't have been," Kunis said in a 2022 interview with Access Hollywood. "You know what, I called B.S. I was like, 'My character would be with Fez.' I think that I ended up with Wilmer [Valderrama]'s character. And I was like [to Ashton], 'Why are you and I together?' And also, he was married when ''70s' ended to Shannon Elizabeth's character, I think."

Despite her reservations about Jackie's life decisions, Kunis told Kutcher they would be doing the show no matter what was in the script. "[She] goes, 'You know, we owe our entire careers to this show. It doesn't matter what the script is, we're doing it,'" Kutcher said in an interview with Esquire.

During an interview on "Today With Hoda and Jenna," Witherspoon revealed that Kunis emailed both her and Kutcher to tell them they were making the wrong impression. "She goes, 'You guys look so awkward on the red carpet together,'" Witherspoon recalled.
