Beyoncé Shares a Sweet Throwback Video With Aaliyah on the Anniversary of Her Death

Thursday marks 15 years since Aaliyah was tragically killed in a plane crash in the Bahamas, and the late singer's good friend, Beyoncé, honored her memory in a very sweet, very simple way. The "All Night Long" singer took to Instagram to post a short video of the pair having fun at the 2000 MTV Movie Awards in Culver City, CA. In the clip, a bubbly Beyoncé asks Aaliyah who she's looking forward to seeing during the show. "I wanna see D'Angelo perform," she said, to which Beyoncé hilariously replied, "Girl, I'm with ya, cause you know he fine!" The sweet moment came just a little over a year before Aaliyah was killed. After filming her music video for "Rock the Boat" on the Abaco Islands, the 22-year-old boarded a plane to return to Florida, but it crashed shortly after takeoff, killing all nine on board.
