Jennifer Lawrence and her boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult, have been private about their on-again, off-again relationship, in spite of dating at one of the highest points in her career. The couple (and X-Men: First Class costars) dated from 2011 to early 2013 — during which time The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook were both released — and rekindled things last July. But fame hasn't changed Jennifer, according to Nicholas, who opened up about their relationship in the Spring issue of VMan magazine:
"The privacy thing obviously changes, but the rest pretty much stays the same. It's like that thing whereby you don't believe your own hype. Enjoy the good times, but don't get swept away with it. I think that's something she's capable of doing, and that's what makes her special, but yeah, it is very odd, and I am just kind of a bystander in many ways. It is well deserved for her. I haven't really seen any change in her."
Now that they are back together and fresh off a sweet night at the Oscars, they also have a big press tour to look forward to for their next film, X-Men: Days of Future Past, coming out on May 23. For Nicholas, working together on the movie was a treat:
"It's fun, because in this business, you are away from one another for long periods of time, so when you're on set together, it's a brilliant thing, because you actually get to spend time together. Especially with this film, I got to spend time with her. . . . It doesn't really affect the acting, though."
