Brie Larson never thought anyone would see Short Term 12, the indie favorite that has been an award season underdog. "I didn't think anyone would ever see it," she told us on the Critics' Choice Awards red carpet on Thursday. "It's like if someone filmed you in your bedroom singing, and then they're like, 'Actually, it's an award-winning performance,' [and you're like], 'I just thought my mom was going to like it, I don't know!'" While Brie didn't take home the best actress award — Cate Blanchett won for Blue Jasmine — she was thrilled to work with such a talented young cast.
