The Story Behind Bruno Mars's Special Serenade Will Tug at Your Heartstrings

It's safe to say that 11-year-old Zumyah Thorpe was the true star of Bruno Mars's Cleveland show on Saturday. Back in 2013, Zumyah lost her pregnant mom and two little sisters when they were hit by a drunk driver, and she suffered brain damage and injuries herself. While she was in recovery, she listened to Bruno Mars every day, and her doctor said, "I am absolutely convinced that singing those Bruno Mars songs and being able to say 'Bruno Mars' is in itself a miracle." In the concert video above, Zumyah's love for the pop crooner can be seen on her glowing face as he serenades her during the concert, which he also dedicated to her. After the show, the singer posted two heartfelt pictures of Zumyah, writing, "Zumyah tonight you gave my band and I something we've never felt before. you're an inspiration to the world! #WeLoveYouZumyah."
