Stars celebrated the world of fashion in NYC last night at the 2013 CFDA Awards in Lincoln Center. The event honors top fashion designers, and stylish stars like Kerry Washington and Jessica Chastain joined the party on the arms of celebrated designers. Being that this was a style event, there were plenty of supermodels at the bash, including Victoria's Secret stars Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, and Karlie Kloss. Hillary Clinton also joined the bash to present the Founders Award to Oscar de la Renta, the man behind many of the former secretary of state's famous pantsuits. She joked about her sense of style during her speech, saying, "Now that I have some more time on my hands I am going to be pitching Andy Cohen and others a new show for Bravo. . . . We can call it Project Pantsuit." She also noted that she was embarrassed when she first met Oscar and he told her that she was wearing one of his designs.
Of course, there were a few stars in attendance who had a closer connection to the CFDA Awards other than just being fans of fashion. Tobey Maguire turned out to support his wife, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, who was nominated for the Swarovski Award for emerging talent for accessory design. Mary-Kate Olsen also attended the event after scooping up the highly coveted womenswear award with her sister Ashley back in 2012.
