Australians were once again in the spotlight in LA on Saturday night when G'Day USA celebrated movie stars at their black-tie gala ahead of the Golden Globes. Cate Blanchett was on hand to present an award to friend and fellow Australian Geoffrey Rush. Geoffrey wasn't the only Aussie who was honored last night, as Mel Gibson was on hand to present an award to Jacki Weaver, Naomi Watts brought extra glamour, and Curtis Stone put on a cooking demonstration for guests. The G'Day USA gala was just one of the many pre-Globes parties last night, as Sean Penn hosted the Help Haiti Home charity bash, and BAFTA organized their annual afternoon tea celebration earlier in the day.
