Alec Baldwin deleted his Twitter account following a series of angry tweets directed to a Daily Mail reporter yesterday. He came to pregnant wife Hilaria Thomas's defense due to a story claiming she was tweeting upbeat posts during James Gandolfini's funeral services. Alec later released a statement and said the story was manufactured, while Hilaria shared her hurt over the situation on her own active account.

Twitter tension aside, other stars are just jumping on the social media platform. Liam Hemsworth joined Twitter this month despite not being so fond of the site back in October 2009, when he convinced his now-fiancée, Miley Cyrus, to deactivate her account.
