That would be Sir David Frost. The iconic British journalist — who is portrayed by Michael Sheen in 2008's Frost/Nixon — passed away in August 2013 of a heart attack at the age of 74. Today at Westminster Abbey, 2,000 people gathered to pay their respects during a memorial for the national figure. There were royals, including Prince Charles and his ex-sister-in-law Sarah Ferguson, and actors like Sienna Miller and Michael Caine. Pippa Middleton was also on hand, mingling with Ben and Marina Fogle.
Just like the famous faces gathered today, David Frost was one of Britain's most recognizable personalities. On TV for over 50 years, he will perhaps be best remembered for his interviews of Richard Nixon in 1977, three years after the president's resignation. From 1969 to 1972, he also appeared regularly on American TV. Frost is also the only person to interview all the British prime ministers who served between 1964 and 2010. At the time of his death, he was married to his second wife, the daughter of the 17th Duke of Norfolk, with whom he had three sons. Scroll down for photos from the memorial in his honor.
