Hi there, I'm Lauren Bradshaw and we're taking you to the Sundance Film Festival where Emma Roberts told us she's channeling Britney Spears in her latest movie. It's in today's PopSugar Rush! MOLLY: Hi, it's Molly from PopSugar. We are right outside the Sundance premiere of Celeste and Jesse Forever . . . The Sundance Film Festival is heating things up in snowy Park City, Utah with a slough of movie premieres featuring hot young stars! PopSugar editor Molly Goodson was at the debut of Celeste and Jesse Forever on Friday night, where Emma Roberts, Rashida Jones, Andy Samberg, Elijah Wood, and more stars walked the carpet, and Emma told us she's playing a pop star type in the film that we may recognize. EMMA ROBERTS: We took every stereotype of pop stars slash child stars and put them into one person, which ends up being me in the movie and it's hilarious. MOLLY: Were you channeling any pop stars in particular? EMMA: "Um, we were kind of going for a little bit of Xtina back in the Dirty days . . . " CHRISTINA: "Want to get dirty, it's about time for my arrival." EMMA ROBERTS: "And you know, maybe a little bit of Britney." BRITNEY SPEARS: "Like that." We'll have to wait to see Emma's portrayal when the film comes to theaters, though early buzz from the festival is that several studios are interested in buying the movie, which was written by Rashida Jones. EMMA ROBERTS: I remember thinking I can't believe Rashida wrote this, it's amazing. She does everything! RASHIDA: I wrote it with Will McCormac who's my best friend, and we wanted to write something that felt like a modern take on having a relationship and something that would hit home . . . Rashida not only wrote the film, but she also stars as the title character. opposite real-life friend Andy Samberg. The two play a couple who decide to get divorced, but want to remain friends. ANDY SAMBERG: "My character is a lot like me, which is why I wanted to do it. He's laid back and sarcastic and really into a girl." Celeste and Jesse is just the first of many films to come out of Sundance, so keep watching PopSugar Rush as we bring you more interviews from Park City in the coming days.
