Fall TV Preview: Kidnapped

Mel Gibson screaming, "Give Me Back My Son" was all I kept thinking about during this pilot episode of Kidnapped. Like a scene out of Ransom, this new NBC show is similar to the action packed thriller movie we loved 10 years ago. The story revolves around the son of a wealthy Manhattan family who is abducted even though he has a bodyguard. As usual, the criminals are demanding no police are involved so the family ends up hiring Jeremy Sisto (Six Feet Under, Clueless) as the guy who works behind the scenes to get back their son. The cast includes the parents, Dana Delany (China Beach) and Timothy Hutton (French Kiss) and Delroy Lindo (Get Shorty, Sahara). Lindo is part of the law enforcement that plays by the books. The show premieres tonight at 10/9c on NBC. We hope it continues to stay fast paced like 24. If it does, then we are setting a season pass for sure!

I gave the show a try last night and it was good but I don't see myself getting hooked on it.

I was undecided about this show when I first started seeing the promos but if Pop likes it then I guess I will at least give it a try.

Delroy Lindo was the "play by the book" FBI guy in the movie Ransom. It seems like he's always a cop or FBI agent in a movie.

I tried Vanished too, but I fell off that one pretty quickly myself. Kidnapped is getting great reviews. I'm excited about it. Obviously! :)

We watched this last weekend (you can download it for free from www.tvguide.com) and it is GREAT! We're watching Vanished, too but I'm falling off that bandwagon pretty quickly. The acting is much better in this one. If anyone is interested, you can watch quite a few shows for free before they even air, or if you miss one you can watch the latest one as well. We watched that Studio 60 this weekend (what can I say, I was sick!). The only bad thing is it's streamed on a pretty small window.

Uh...I didn't like Mel BEFORE the whole Jewish thing so.... I honestly just don't like the man. I could care less what he says. I think the last movie I did see with him in it was Ransom. No, I never did see Passion of the Christ, and I don't want to either. I just love Jeremy Sisto!

Jeremy Sisto is hot. I can't wait to watch this show. And lets all be thankful Mel isn't in it!

First there's an article about Clay's gay hair and then in the promo shot for Kidnapped, there is a Clay lookalike, unless Clayl is actually doing tv shows now...
