George Clooney mixed seriousness with silliness when he was honored at USC Shoah Foundation Institute's 2013 Ambassadors For Humanity gala at the Museum of Natural History in NYC on Friday. George was on hand to receive the Ambassador For Humanity award, which was presented to him by Steven Spielberg, who founded the organization in 1994. The actor's Gravity costar and longtime friend Sandra Bullock also dropped by the bash, which was hosted by Jon Stewart. George appeared to be in high spirits at the bash, chatting with Sandra, Steven, Jon, and Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels. He also had a bit of fun photobombing Steven when he was taking pictures with Jessica and Jerry Seinfeld.
George and Sandra have had a busy week promoting their newest flick, which hits theaters today. The two joined up in the Big Apple yesterday to screen Gravity during a special luncheon. Sandra and Jon also had a good time poking fun at George when the actress dropped by The Daily Show With Jon Stewart on Wednesday. The host joked that he couldn't buy George as an "affable ladies' man" in the film, which Sandra jokingly agreed with.
