People who think breastfeeding is "gross" need to back off and grow up, wft people!? I mean, i don't even have kids and i don't know if i will breasfeed them or not(probably not) but people need to sit the f*ck down.

Thanks for the information wingedklare, I had heard rumours about breast feeding not being that appropriate in the US but I thought it was more of an "old school" way of thinking and that people were a bit more enlightened in the modern society...I though her comment was very cute and very "new mom" like:)..Maybe it's that I am 7 months pregnant and the thought of breastfeeding is as normal here as eating dinner:)

Gialand - it's primarily in the US that people are so weird about breastfeeding. There are some states where it's still considered indecent to breastfeed in public. Which is really sad - but it all goes back to the introduction of baby formula. Somehow it was drilled into society's collective mind that the more sterile version of feeding babies is "better."As far as Halle's comment, it sounds kinda jokey - but even if it isn't, it's just unfortunate phrasing.

Wow...I didn't know people were so prudish about breastfeeding. In Scandinavia you can see women breastfeeding everywhere, at cafés and at the park or just whenever your baby needs to be fed. Women have been breastfeeding for millions of years, since when did it become something negative??

My daughter's grandmother was so weird about me nursing at their house. SHe always wanted me to go in another room. But hey, the t.v. was in the main room so that's where I sat. When she kept her she would always have a reason to not to give her my prepumped milk. It ticked me off but I did not exclusively nurse so I was not as pissed..Halle is gorgeous as usual. Gabriel yum yum...

Calling for the breast? Not exactly a tactful way of putting it. I am glad to see them out together and see that Halle isn't rail thin already. Enjoy the baby and work out when you get around to it.

did you know that the Canadian government recently banned the sale of plastic bottles because of the dangerous type of chemical in the plastic they are made of? did you know that the inside of baby formula cans have the same plastic though the government didn't ban them because the benefits of formula outweighs the risks? if you CHOOSE not to breastfeed because you are ashamed or don't want to 'brag' about it you are depriving and endangering your innocent child for ignorant and selfish reasons. i do feel sorry for anyone who can't breastfeed because of birth complications or a mastectomy though they wanted to, but if you choose formula for vanity or shame, thats really sad how little you care about your child. And you dare to insult people who go through the pain of breast feeding! (its messy and it hurts like hell for the first month or so)

Ha Ha. LMAO at what looks like a bottle of liquor being held out to Halle from her assistant.

LOL, you can sure tell the ones who have beast fed and the ones who haven't. I was little nervous about other people knowing my first time, but when you do it numerous times a day for over a year, it becomes as NORMAL as walking or breathing. I got so good at it that I could push my daughter around in a shopping cart, breast feeding her while grocery shopping and no one knew a thing. Thanks to baby slings and baby blankets. It's a very normal and beautiful part of having a baby and being a mother. For someone to label it as "gross" is unbelievable and so immature.

i have to agree that maybe she could have phrased that better - but i think that it's great that she's getting out and about - and that she's supporting the baby's daddy. she looks good for just having her girl...she was a big preggo lady before.

New mothers can make jokes about breastfeeding. Plus, I’m sure people at the tournament were thinking that anyway. She just said it out loud.

How is "the baby is calling for my breast" bragging?? It's explaining why she's leaving. I couldn't care less if people think me saying "Sorry we have to run, the baby needs to nurse" is offensive and over the top. Deal with it. My baby eats.
