Heidi Klum and Seal Separate

Heidi Klum and Seal Announce Separation

Heidi Klum and Seal are separating, they announced today in a joint statement. The revelation comes after a weekend full of rumors about an impending divorce for Heidi Klum and Seal. The couple met in 2003, married in 2005, and are parents to children, Henry, Jonah, Leni, and Lou.

Their statement reads:

While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal, and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.

We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.

Separation doesn't always mean divorce? I hope they find a way to work it out.

AAannnnd Portia and Ellen, David and NPH, Elton and David, Mario Cantone nad Jerry Dixon (20 YEARS).....all of which are, apparently, mockeries of the "institution of marriage". LOL Every. F@ckin. Day. So and so hetero couple divorces. Marriage is too easy for us straight folks and taken for granted. Shit seriously happens and a marriage that was gone into with genuine intentions (like this one may have actually been, as opposed to the Kardashian attention seeking stunt) can still hit a wall no matter how hard you try-famous couples, especially as they have alot of scrutiny in every detail of their lives. Every breath is public and discussed and judged by total strangers as well as the jobs themselves which involve lots of travel and being apart. That said, divorce should be a last resort. But to Hollywood, it's "Hey! Let's get married and if it doesn't work PPPFFFffffft! We'll just end it! We got money!" Marriage is disposable to so many of these folks. If straight people actually have to prove your stance in a relationship and fight to even have it and have it acknowledged, even, you would be damn sure getting married would be something you could take. You would be more than ready. You dont go through so many hoops to just turn around a few months later and go "Eh. It's not fun anymore. We're done!" just because it's easy and you have the options/ability. Celebrity couples float in and out of marriages like it 'aint no thang. Getting married is something to do on a boring Satuday night. It's not like they cant afford to pay to end it or anything. I just find it strange that the very couples that certain folks look down upon and call a mockery are the picture perfect example of what these "family values" bums invision as a perfect marriage of straight folks. Instead of being disgusted-they need to take notes (Looking at you, Newt, you piece of sh!t) ............Ok. That rant did not go where I was intending. Sorry guys lol. Why do I do that? 1 thought turns into more and then you snowball into off topic tirades. :( Bottom line: That sucks. Of all famous couples, I feel their marriage was "real" and was a geniune "we tried. We just can't anymore", which happens. It wasnt a "disposable" marriage, unlike a majority of divorces from the last year or so.

egos and insecurities come into play with most of these relationships, just like the rest of ours...now, the whole "soul searching" bullsh*t is moot when you decide to populate the earth with all those damn kids - search when you're single or dating....7 yrs and 4 kids later, your search has been called off - deal with it...these two with their over the top shyt every year was kind of a red flag, just be happily in love, no need to seek the approval of people whom you don't know or care about (i.e the general public)....this is also why I don't buy half these lame couples when they feel the need to go on record weekly with the "we're soooo happy, life is great" shyt (yeah, I'm thinking of a certain couple that's been trying to save face for yrs now ;) ) the happiest couples I know aren't on Facebook, don't over share and just LIVE

Celebrity divorces typically get a resounding 'meh' from this direction but in this case I'm slightly more bothered than usual. Too bad, they have a lot of kids and it's probably going to be messy.

They really did seem like they had the chops to make it last. Sad they chose not to. Maybe for their next marriages, they'll keep their lavish displays under wraps as it all seems like a load of bull now, doesn't it? How can you be so crazy in love, splash & flaunt it for years and then dismiss it as if nothing was? Marriage is by no means easy but Hollywood has really made a mockery of it.

I'm surprised, they seemed so in love and mature. I wonder what happened. I can only agree with sayhk.
