Everything You Missed From the American Music Awards
The American Music Awards took over LA's Nokia Theatre on Sunday night, putting many of the music world's top entertainers under one roof. The night was, of course, jam-packed with incredible performances, but the fun didn't stop there. We've covered all the most exciting moments, from the action in the audience to the event's biggest winners. Keep reading for the highlights from the show.
- All the fun, of course, starts hours before the show begins. Check out all the celebrities who turned up on the red carpet this year.
- Trying to figure out who wore what? We've compiled a list of all the most important dresses from the event.
- Can we talk about Gigi Hadid's look, by the way? That was definitely a bra.
- Of course, what kind of award show would it be without a little reality TV royalty? Khloé Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner all walked the carpet together.
- And Jennifer Lopez? Her preshow dress was all about the abs, obviously.
- Taylor Swift kicked off the night with the first live performance of "Blank Space." Let's just say there were a LOT of crazy faces.
- Lorde took us straight to The Hunger Games with a powerful rendition of "Yellow Flicker Beat," her song from the soundtrack.
- One Direction had fans swooning left and right with their latest song, "Night Changes."
- Meanwhile, Ariana Grande's performances were a double whammy, with a slowed-down version of "Problem," plus "Love Me Harder" with The Weeknd.
- We couldn't get through the night without a few tears. Sam Smith's performance was emotionally charged, as usual, and Selena Gomez's "The Heart Wants What It Wants" was heart-wrenching.
- Back in the audience, Taylor Swift just had a lot of feelings. Also, she won the first ever Dick Clark Award For Excellence!
- Speaking of audience members, check out all the moments you didn't see on TV.
- One moment you probably did see, though, was Brantley Gilbert's sweet smooch with his fiancée, Amber Cochran. You probably need to see it again anyway.
- If you came here not for the performances but for the results, we've got the full list of winners right here.
