The actor roughed it with a serious beard on the set of his latest movie, Everest, in Rome on Wednesday. From the looks of it, Jake's hair and manly whiskers [2] have collectively grown a few inches since January. Covered from head to tow in a heavy-duty snowsuit, hat, and googles, Jake walked through his scenes with director Baltasar Kormákur. The film tells the tragic story of Scott Fischer, a mountaineer who climbed to the top of the world's highest mountain.

Jake has been sticking to serious roles lately, carrying on the career path he set at 20 [3]. Despite all of his film commitments, he's reportedly found time to rekindle his romance with Alyssa Miller [4].
