James Franco Hosting Oscars Reviews 2011-03-03 12:03:00

James Franco Says "F*ck You" to Yale Newspaper Article — Understandable or Immature?

James Franco joined Twitter just before the Oscars, and he's already embroiled in controversy based on one of his photo updates. This week he's faced a less than favorable response for his performance as an Oscars cohost, but instead of responding to that, he is lashing out against another negative review. He posted a photo on his Twitter account that read "F*ck The Yale Daily News," after a student wrote an article in the school newspaper calling out his "boring" tweets.

James seemed to handle the Oscars criticism well, but clearly he didn't take this blow as easily, so tell us — do you think his response is understandable or immature?

He probably has to respond well to the Oscar criticism because those are people he hopes to work with in the future. Yale Daily News, he probably couldn't care less so why (in his mind) self-censor?

twitter is for the lonely, FB is for the desperate....love James, he's on another planet and I'd gladly join him although I don't find him remotely attractive most times

Whatever. Don't Yale students have more important things to do than comment on celebrity tweets? Why is this news....?

Understandable, people are being disgusting about his and Anne's hosting chemistry. I watched the entire Oscars and I thought they were cute/great together. Sure, at times he seemed tired but he's spread himself thin. He models, acts in a tv show, movies, goes to 2 different colleges. Lets not give the guy shyt, he's human. Things happen. I just think he's realizing that being in Hollywood can be hard because you can't please everyone all the time, and when people in Hollywood aren't in love with you, they're hating you. In a very public way.

yea i agree w/ bhilb, his response is exactly what the paper wanted, so he isn't being immature, but being more "exciting" haha

Dude the picture that he tweeted is hilarious! Red paint over his own face - I saw it on ONTD here: http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/56804732.html

I think the point is that the Yale article was essentially telling him to be more like Kanye to make his Twitter ineresting. His response is not "lashing out," it's giving the paper what it's asking for.
