Jay-Z hit the black carpet to celebrate the release of his new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, at Samsung’s launch party in NYC's Brooklyn Wednesday night. He had the support of his pals Timbaland, Nick Cannon, J. Cole, and Busta Rhymes to party it up in honor of his latest, which is downloadable for Samsung users now and available to the rest of the public on July 9. Jay-Z's wife, Beyoncé Knowles, was also in attendance to party it up inside with her husband, and the couple danced together while sipping drinks. She had good reason to celebrate since she is featured alongside Jay-Z on three tracks on the album: "BBC," "Part II (On the Run)," and "Tom Ford." Beyoncé took a break from her own work to honor her husband after taking the stage for a star-studded show in LA on Monday night for her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, which will next bring her to Oklahoma City for a performance tomorrow.
Jay-Z kept it in the family for his new album, which not only features collaborations with Beyoncé, but also a track dedicated to his daughter, Blue Ivy. He recently got emotional, coming close to tears, in a newly released commercial where he discussed the inspiration behind the track honoring his little one, titled, "Jay Z Blue." While Jay-Z had a lot to celebrate with this week's release of Magna Carta Holy Grail, his big NYC concert at the Ed Sullivan Theater, which was scheduled for July 8, was canceled due to safety concerns.
