Jennifer Garner slipped into a little black Calvin Klein dress last night to attend the first-ever benefit gala for Save the Children in NYC. Save the Children is a charitable organization that is close to Jennifer's heart, as she started working with the organization five years ago. She said at the event that she likes to focus specifically on programs that help kids in "early childhood in rural America," which is part of Save the Children's focus.
Jennifer wasn't the only star at the benefit — her former Alias costar (and close friend) Victor Garber made an appearance at the bash, along with Whoopi Goldberg, Jenna Bush Hager, and Hillary Clinton, who had Anthony Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, by her side. Jennifer is gearing up for her return to the red carpet after taking a break from fancy fetes while she worked on a slate of new film projects earlier this year. She'll soon be on the press trail once again as she gears up for the Nov. 1 release of her newest movie, Dallas Buyers Club, which has already been generating early Oscar buzz.
