Jennifer's Inspiring Acceptance Speech Will Bring the Happy Tears

Jennifer Hudson was already a winner when she arrived at the People's Choice Awards decked out in a body-hugging KaufmanFranco dress this evening in LA. The Oscar winner was honored with the Favorite Humanitarian Award for her work with the Julian D. King Gift Foundation. She formed the organization in 2009 with her sister, Julia, in honor of their nephew Julian King, who was killed in 2008. The duo took the stage to give an emotional acceptance speech, which you can watch below — Jennifer brought the crowd to their feet, saying, "Without family, we are nothing; and whether you know it or not, we are all family." Jennifer also showed off her giving side over the holidays when she surprised her assistant by giving him a house! The Instagram video of his amazingly sweet reaction went viral immediately. Between this honor and that heart-warming moment, it's safe to say that Jennifer is kicking off 2014 with a very generous spirit.
