The Oscars are only a day away [1], and on Friday night, Jennifer Lawrence [2] kicked off the exciting weekend by attending the Women in Film pre-Oscar bash at Hyde Sunset Kitchen + Cocktails in LA. Aside from drawing eyes in a sexy crochet minidress, the Joy actress was all about women's empowerment as she took the stage to speak about equal pay at the annual event hosted by Academy Award winners [3] Cathy Schulman and Jennifer Hudson [4]. Following Patricia Arquette's moving speech, USA Today reported [5] that Jennifer also shone light on the issue [6], saying, "We're starting a conversation. We're getting a dialogue going. . . . I didn't know I was going to be (speaking). . . . Equal pay for women!"
