Jessica Biel is on the cover of August's InStyle ahead of the Aug. 3 release of her new movie, Total Recall, a remake of the 1990 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. She spoke about what's going on in her personal life, too, including her romance with fiancé Justin Timberlake. Jessica spoke about her childhood, what she's learned from her parents' marriage, and even her admiration for Justin's style. Here are highlights from Jessica in InStyle:
- On growing up: "In my earlier experiences with relationships, I really was vulnerable to somebody else's personality, hobbies, and way of life. But as I've gotten older, I've become proud of the traits that make me who I am."
- On Justin's eye for style: "When I walk out of the closet after getting dressed in the morning, I'll go like this [turns palms upward as if to say, 'Well?']. And he goes like this [shakes head no]. Then he picks again. It's hilarious."
- On learning from her parents' marriage: "The best thing I learned from [my parents] is that you have to put your relationship first. It is really easy to let that go by the wayside. It's easy to say, 'Hey. I'll see you later. I love you.' And you can't do that."
