Johnny Depp made a special appearance at London's Royal Opera House last night to honor his friend Keith Richards. Keith was being feted by GQ at its Men of the Year Awards with the Writer of the Year statue, thanks to the runaway success of his memoir Life. Johnny took the stage to salute his good friend, but first said he'd been hidden to keep his cameo a surprise. Johnny commented, "They kept me downstairs in the basement — they locked me up!" Keith made a speech, revealing Life's being made into a movie. Bradley Cooper, who wore Tom Ford to collect his International Man honors, cozied up to Charlize Theron. Rosario Dawson wore a long dress from Tommy Hilfiger to speak, while Emma Watson, in McQ, paid homage to her Lancôme collaborator Mario Testino. Photographer Mario received accolades as the Inspirer of the Year.
