Johnny Depp waved to the crowd at the Toronto International Film Festival yesterday. He was there supporting West of Memphis, which examines the case of three men later named the "West Memphis Three," who were wrongly convicted of homicide and finally let out of prison last year after 18 years behind bars. Johnny, along with the Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines and Eddie Vedder, was among the stars who helped pay the legal fees to free the men. Johnny has become close with one of the accused, Damien Echols, and the duo apparently share matching tattoos. Johnny revealed during a press conference yesterday that the ink on the right side of his chest was designed by Damien and is "one of my all-time favorites, and it means quite a lot to me."
